How to Configure and Send Post Notification Emails to subscribers when new posts are published
Using Email Subscribers, you can send post notification emails to your subscribers when new blogs posts are published. This automation not only saves tons of your time but also makes the entire process stress free and simple.
This is a simple configuration. Once you’ve activated Email Subscribers, the plugin automatically creates two default notification emails for the existing blog categories. You can either edit these defaults emails or compose a new notification email as per your need.
Method 1 : Editing the Default Post Notification Emails
Step 1 : Go to your WordPress Dashboard -> Email Subscribers -> Compose
Step 2 : Click to edit the default Post Notification Email Template
Step 3 : Start editing, but remember to keep it as generalized as possible and use the keywords appropriately
Step 4 : Click on Save.
Step 5 : Now go to your WordPress Dashboard -> Email Subscribers -> Post Notifications. You will see a default notification. Click on edit
Step 6 : Select group, default notification & blog post category you want the email to be sent for
Step 7 : Click on Save.
Method 2 : Composing a new Email Post Notification
Step 1 : Alternatively, you can also create new email notification by going to the Compose option and clicking to add new
Step 2 : Select Post Notification Email Template
Step 3 : Fill in the content and click on Save
Step 4 : Now go to your WordPress Dashboard -> Email Subscribers -> Post Notifications
Step 5 : Create a new notification. Select the above created Post Notification Email Template & blog category you want the email to be sent for
Step 6 : Click on Save.
Now whenever a new blog is published on your website (and if that blog post category is checked under notification), your subscribers will be notified about it.
The email templates for sending automatic post notifications can contain keywords. Example: Email Subject – New post published ###POSTTITLE###
