We’re all working together; that’s the secret.

– Sam Walton

Hello,

As I write this email, the Icegram team is brainstorming on our future goals. How can our products better serve customers? What needs to be fixed / improved? What new can we build? What big problems should we go after?

So let me ask you…

What would help you?

Design improvements, our own email sending service, A/B testing, contact enrichment improvements… We’ve thought about some ideas, but what do you think we should do in the product?

  • What improvements will make the Email Subscribers plugin more useful to you?
  • What would you like to see in the plugin over the next year?

This is when you reply to this email and give us some feedback.

You may have been getting these emails for a long time, and may not have responded ever.

But please respond today.

Your response will help us serve you better, as well as 100,000 other people like you.

I’ll wait for your feedback! Thanks.

Relaunch your old content for a quick SEO boost

You’ve already written a lot. And you keep struggling with what would be the next blog topic.

How about relaunching existing content?

Updating your existing content – adding recent developments, improving headlines and images, rearranging paragraphs for better readability, updating keywords and cleaning up stuff that is irrelevant now – will improve your SEO metrics for sure.

Adding new content as well as editing old content is important.

But why?

  • Up-to-date content keeps readers engaged.
  • Search engines love fresh content – and rank them higher.
  • Better content = lower bounce rate = better SEO position.
  • Earn backlinks – people prefer linking back to up-to-date and authentic resources
  • It’s always faster to edit a blog post than to write a new one

And how?

  • Update any outdated references to years / dates / events (e.g. 2021 to 2022)
  • Check your SEO tool / Google Search Console to find underperforming posts and keywords – then edit their content to at least match the quality of the page that is the current top result for your keywords.
  • Review your keyword targeting, change / update keywords as needed
  • Update screenshots or other images
  • Restructure your major sub-headings and rework the “table of contents”
  • Update outbound links
  • Add a GIF or video to retain readers for longer
  • Remove boring / non-valuable content

If you want, you can also update the publish date of the post. But at least set the “last updated date”.

Do you have any ancient or outdated blogs that are underperforming? I’m sure you do! Try updating one today. I’m sure you will see results within just a few weeks.

Dealing with a nightmare of wrong email addresses

Balázs is a technical engineer for Bee Doughty Pratt – an artist from New Zealand.

And he was troubled with so many inaccurate and abandoned email addresses. Every time he’d send a newsletter, his mailbox would fill up with bounce notifications.

Bouncing emails also meant higher email sending costs and busier servers.

He was looking for a solution, but they were either too expensive, didn’t work, or both.

Eventually, he reached out to the support team for our Email Subscribers & Newsletters plugin. We guided him about bounce handling within the plugin and he quickly set it up.

And the nightmares have gone. Forever.

Today, Balázs is a happy man – he knows he’s saving time and money both with Email Subscribers Pro.

Do you have bad emails in your lists? Might want to get rid of them with Email Subscribers Pro!

A writing prompt

Describe your ideal workplace. Is it quiet, uncluttered, and undistracted? Write about it in your journal.

BTW, I’m waiting for your response – reply to this email and tell me about what we should improve in the Email Subscribers plugin so it helps you better.

Thanks,

Nirav Mehta, Icegram
