How to add captcha in Subscribe form of Email Subscribers

What is Captcha?

CAPTCHA or Completely Automated Public Turing test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart is a technique to distinguish between humans and computers. CAPTCHA is mainly used as a security check to ensure only human users can pass through. Generally, computers or bots are not capable of solving a captcha.

You would need latest versions of following plugins installed & activated on your site to enable captcha :

Email Subscribers (free)  Email Subscribers (Pro)

Steps to add captcha :

For Version 4.0 and Higher

Step 1 :Go to WordPress Dashboard -> Email Subscribers -> Settings -> Security

Step 2 :>Scroll Down to find “Enable Captcha”

Step 3 : Check the box beside label

Step 4 :Save the settings. That’s it!

For version lower than 4.0

Step 1 :Go to WordPress Dashboard -> Email Subscribers -> Settings

Step 2 :>Scroll Down to find “Captcha”

Step 3 : Check the box which says “Enabling this will show captcha in all subscription form of Email Subscribers”

Step 4 :Save the settings. That’s it!

 

Now go to your website’s page where Email Subscribers form is targeted. Fill the Email Subscribers form on your website and click on submit button.

Once the button is clicked, the captcha will appear. Answer the captcha and hit verify.
