How to Prevent Spammers and Bot Signups

Use domain blocklists, bot traps, and captcha verification to protect your Icegram Express subscription forms from spam.

Automated spam bots frequently scan websites and submit bogus email addresses into opt-in forms. Protecting your subscription forms keeps your subscriber database clean and prevents bounces.

Form Security Features in Icegram Express

Navigate to Icegram Express > Settings > Security to configure built-in anti-spam defenses:

  1. Blocked Domain(s): Add specific email domains commonly used by spammers (e.g., mail.ru, tempmail.com) separated by commas to block them from signing up.
  2. Block Known Attackers Pro: Automatically reject signups matching Icegram’s global cloud database of known abusive IP addresses and bot networks.
  3. Fake Email Detection Pro: Validate syntax, MX records, and domain structures to block obviously malformed addresses.
  4. Captcha Verification Starter: Add an interactive Captcha, Google reCAPTCHA v2/v3, or Cloudflare Turnstile challenge to all front-end subscription forms.
