Testing a new post notification campaign before broadcasting to your entire subscriber audience ensures your layout, featured image tags, and content snippets render as expected.

How to Test Using a Private Test List

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Icegram Express > Audience > Manage Lists.
  2. Create a private list named Test List.
  3. Under Audience > Add Contact, add your own email address and assign it exclusively to the Test List.
  4. Go to Icegram Express > Campaigns and create a new Post Notification (or duplicate an existing one).
  5. In the recipient list setting, select only your Test List.
  6. Select a specific blog category to test (e.g., a “Test” or “Draft” category).
  7. Save and activate the notification.
  8. Publish a test blog post under that category to trigger the notification.
  9. Verify that the email arrives in your personal inbox with the correct post title, excerpt, and featured image.
