Viewing and managing cookie consent logs
Review, search, and manage recorded visitor cookie consent decisions in WordPress for proof of GDPR and privacy regulatory compliance.
Icegram Cookie Manager includes a built-in consent logging system. Under regulations like the EU GDPR, website operators must be able to demonstrate that valid consent was obtained if requested during an audit.
Whenever a visitor interacts with your banner (accepting all, rejecting all, or saving custom preferences), the plugin stores an audit record directly in your WordPress database.
Accessing the consent logs
-
In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Cookie Manager > Consent Logs.
-
The table displays all recorded visitor consent entries, ordered by the most recent timestamp.
Information recorded in each log entry
The consent audit table tracks the following details for each visitor decision:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| UUID | An anonymized unique session identifier generated for the visitor. |
| IP Address | The network IP address of the visitor at the time consent was given. |
| User Agent | The browser and operating system combination used during the visit. |
| Categories | The specific cookie categories consented to by the visitor. |
| URL | The exact page URL where the visitor made or updated their consent choice. |
| Recorded At | The date and time when the initial consent decision was registered. |
| Updated At | The timestamp of any subsequent preference change made via the settings icon. |
Searching and managing logs
The log table includes standard WordPress table controls to help you locate and manage audit records:
- Search: Use the search box in the top-right corner to filter entries by UUID, IP address, or page URL.
- Sorting: Click column headers such as UUID, IP Address, or Recorded At to sort the table ascending or descending.
- Bulk Deletion: If you need to purge older consent entries for data minimization, select the checkboxes next to the items, choose Delete from the Bulk actions dropdown, and click Apply.
