How to Import BuddyBoss Members into Icegram Express Lists

Import community members and social groups from BuddyBoss into Icegram Express subscriber lists with custom xProfile field mapping.

If you run a community or membership site with the BuddyBoss Platform, you can sync your member base directly into targeted Icegram Express subscriber lists without exporting intermediate CSV files.

Steps to Import BuddyBoss Members

The importer provides a guided wizard to filter community members, map profile fields, and assign lists:

  1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Icegram Express → Audience.

  2. Click the Import button in the header toolbar.

  3. On the importer selection screen, click the BuddyBoss tile.

  4. Select your import method:

    • Member Profiles: Filter members by BuddyBoss profile type (such as Students, Instructors, or Premium Members).
    • Member Groups: Select specific BuddyBoss social groups to import only members belonging to those communities.

  5. Map member profile attributes:

    • Match BuddyBoss xProfile fields (First Name, Last Name, Email, Bio, Location) to corresponding Icegram Express contact attributes or custom fields.
    • Leave unmatched any fields you do not wish to store.

  6. Configure subscriber list parameters:

    • Select the target email list for the imported contacts.
    • Choose the initial contact status: Subscribed (immediately active) or Unconfirmed (requires double opt-in verification).

  7. Click Import Contacts to begin background processing.

Automatic Duplicate Handling

The importer automatically checks existing contact records by email address:

  • If a contact already exists in your Icegram Express audience, their profile fields are updated with new BuddyBoss data without creating duplicate entries.
  • If a member is already subscribed to other lists, they are safely appended to the new target list without altering their existing preferences.
