How to Resend Failed Campaigns in Icegram Express
Identify delivery failures in Icegram Express reports and use the Resend Failed Campaign tool to safely dispatch unsent newsletter batches.
If an email broadcast or newsletter encounters delivery disruptions—such as temporary SMTP server outages, expired API credentials, or hourly rate limits—Icegram Express marks the campaign as failed in your reports.
Instead of recreating the entire campaign, you can use the Resend Failed Campaign button to re-queue unsent messages safely.
Why Campaigns Fail
- SMTP or API Provider Downtime: Your external mailer service (e.g., Amazon SES, Brevo, SendGrid) rejected the connection or was temporarily unreachable.
- Hourly Sending Limit Reached: Your host or email provider’s hourly email threshold was exceeded.
- Worker Execution Timeout: Server PHP process limits halted the sending queue before all emails finished processing.
Prerequisites Before Resending
How to Resend the Failed Campaign
- In your WordPress admin, go to Icegram Express > Reports.
- Locate the failed campaign in the reports table (indicated by a Failed status badge).
- Click the campaign title or view details to open the report summary.
- Click the Resend Failed Campaign button at the top of the report.
- Icegram Express will re-process only the recipient batches that failed or remained unsent, avoiding duplicate deliveries to subscribers who already received the message.
- Monitor the sending queue under Icegram Express > Reports to confirm completion.
