How to connect your website to our server for plugin updates
Icegram prompts you to connect the plugin to our server as you finish installing the plugin. This is to make sure the plugin version is up to date and alert you every time we have an update with new features and enhancements.
More importantly, once you connect your store, you don’t need to manually re-upload the plugin when we release a new version or validate license keys.
How to connect your store to enable plugin updates?
After you activate any plugin through the plugins page on your WordPress setup, the plugin prompts a pop up to connect. If you don’t see it, go to Settings, wait for the popup to show up (should show up instantly) and click on Connect (the big green button).
Voila! Your store is successfully connected and you will automatically receive future updates of the plugin.
Troubleshooting – Common Problems
Sometimes, even after successful store connection, an alert appears on the plugins page to update your plugin despite it being a latest version or you don’t see the link to update when required.
In that case, go to Plugins, locate the plugin & click Disconnect from Icegram to disconnect under the plugin description. Now, refresh that page and then click on Connect Icegram to re-connect.
Unable to connect your website with Icegram?
If you are unable to connect to your website,
- Open your browser and login to your account on icegram.com in an alternative browser
- Now, in a new tab of the alternative browser, login to your WordPress website and click on Connect Icegram either from the plugins page or individual through the plugin settings page
