How Automatic User Sync Works

Learn how automatic WordPress user sync works and how to synchronize user accounts with Icegram Express subscriber lists.

Synchronizing your WordPress users with Icegram Express allows new site members, WooCommerce customers, and registered subscribers to automatically join your email audience.

Syncing New WordPress Registrations via Workflows

In modern versions of Icegram Express (v4.4.1 and higher), user synchronization is powered by the Workflows automation engine. Whenever a new user registers on your site, an automated workflow adds them to your selected email list.

  1. Navigate to Icegram Express → Workflows.
  2. Click Add New to create an automation.
  3. Set the trigger to WordPress → User Registered.
  4. Set the action to Icegram Express → Add to list.
  5. Select the destination email list and choose the initial contact status (e.g., Subscribed).
  6. Save and activate the workflow.

How to Import Existing WordPress Users

If you already have registered WordPress users who were created prior to setting up your automation, you can import them into your audience:

  1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Icegram Express → Audience → Import.
  2. Select WordPress Users (available in Icegram Express Pro / Max).
  3. Select the user roles you wish to import (e.g., Subscriber, Customer).
  4. Choose the destination list and click Import Contacts.
